The Singing Fish

The Greatest Escape of the Singing Fish

- Douglas McDowell
Ling Chan, evil Zen Master of Min Chu, live during the first Dynasty, long before the honorable Wah. He was determined to rule the poor provinces with a fist of iron.

And so it was, that as Ling Chan amassed his wicked fortune, that a plan formed within his diseased and darkened mind.

"I shall capture the Singing Fish, for it is better that a boy drop his pebble than for a stone to crush a boy!". And all the Five Brothers marvelled at his wisdom.

The trap was set, and for many years, Ling Chan waited patiently, listening to the ants screaming from the walls of his small cell. Yet never was the Singing Fish captured.

This, then, you can see, is the Greates Escape: to have never been captured in the first place.
